FORM & TEXTURE

Embracing the aesthetics of minimalism, I am drawn to pared-back design and focus primarily on form and texture.

I enjoy exploring the distinct qualities of different clay bodies, from silky white porcelain to coarse, grogged stoneware. Their tones and textures guide my restrained surface design, occasionally enhanced through facets, carvings, engravings, or slip work.

Each piece begins on the wheel before being altered, allowing form to evolve through a process of refinement and adjustment. There ensues a dialogue between the softness of a curve and the precision of a facet, the counterpoint of a hoop, or the freedom suggested by a swivel. These details quietly shape the final form.

I seek to imbue my work with softness, balancing simplicity with careful consideration. The resulting pieces aim to feel both intentional and approachable.

I delight in creating pieces for the home, whether purely decorative or functional, and in knowing that they will become part of everyday rituals and lived-in spaces.

All of my pieces are handcrafted in my Montreuil studio.
